This workshop is a result of my Master's capstone. Below is the academic description: Cultivating an inclusive environment which empowers any individual or group to feel welcome, respected, psychologically safe, and supported is critical to driving engagement[1]. The significance in this is that greater employee engagement increases organizational profitability, performance, wellbeing, productivity, quality outputs, and loyalty while decreasing turnover rates[2]. Guided by scientific research in the formation of value and belief systems, socialization, diversity and inclusion, self-awareness, and conflict management, this workshop utilizes principles of the Experiential Learning Model and Value Self-Confrontation, which creates the backdrop to facilitate behavior change in leaders working to create more inclusive workplaces that drive higher employee engagement and retention. _____________________________ 1 McKim, James. 2021. “The Business Case for Implementing DEI.” NH Business Review.
